Hannah Graham

MJ here, after a very long absense.

However, I bring good news. I have recently uploaded both chapter one of Dominoes onto Protagonize.com as well as a brand new solo project that I'm working on *dundunduhh!*

Now, I'm guessing you're thinking, 'Whose this Hannah Graham person?' well I can officially say that she is my newest protagonist character for my new story The Candidates which, like my other stories, can be found on Protagonize.com. Here's a quick summary of what to expect:

The new and improved Hannah Graham is a strong-minded, independent and confident woman. But after taking a leap and leaving all that she once knew for the pursuits of a career as a professional writer in London's West End, has she bitten off more than she can chew? And what about the complicated love triangle that she's managed to trap herself into? Or would it be better to say square? Will picking the right candidate to give her heart to be as simple as she'd originally anticipated?

Good, huh? Well, I think so. Now, don't worry. This doesn't mean the end to Casey's story - by no means have I done telling her story - but it does mean that not all of my attention will be on the production of Dominoes as I had intentionally planned to do this summer. However, I am determined to produce work for both of these titles and post as regualarly as I can on Protagonize.com whilst holding down a possible two jobs over the summer to help pay for my student house in August/September time. It's gonna be tough, but I'm determined that I'll be able to make it happen!

Please visit www.Protagonize.com if you wish to read both mine and other talented writers' work. I can be found under MichaelaJakeReynolds where all of my work is available to read and is entirely free!

Until next time,

Much love,
MJReynolds.

Long time, no update.

Hey, guys. MJ here.

Well, like the title says, long time no update and I apologize! I've been so wrapped up with Uni work that I've not had time to update or even do any writing pretty much since I've been here. However, I am hoping that I can try and squeeze some writing in between reading, rehearsals and essays.

I do have some good news though: I have started Dominoes! Yay! However... when I say 'started' I say it very loosely. Meaning, I've written the preface and started writing chapter one but have not finished and am now stuck. I've really hit a brick wall - and I'm not even a quarter of the way through the book! I mean, being stuck on chapter one is pretty bad when you're writing - no, attempting - to write a book, right? If I can't even write the first chapter then I'm pretty screwed from the get go, which really frustrates and angers me. I do want to write this book, I really do, but I just can't seem to find the right source of inspiration to get me to do it.

I've sent what I do have, however, to some willing individuals on my Facebook page who have all said they will proof-read what I have thus far, hopefully giving me the incentive to continue and actually finish this chapter and move onto the second and then third, etc. Hopefully this feedback will be positive; then again, knowing my luck, I'll end up getting the response "never write again, it's rubbish!" or something along those lines...

Anyway, I'll let you know when the chapters get underway and remember, you can always stay in the loop and follow the progression of Dominoes on www.Protagonize.com as well as look back on Playing Cards, Chess Pieces and other stories that I've posted.

Until next time,
MJReynolds.

A little tid bit...

Apologises for the lack of writing recently. I've been so pre-occupied with starting University that I've not had time to do much else than pack and prepare. Now that I'm here, it's also the last thing I want to think about. Lessons start next week so I'll be stuck into my work for that.
Another reason for my lack of writing is that I'm basically waiting for others in my collab stories to post. I understand that they have their reasons for not posting - such as school and such - and all I can do is be patient: even though I dying to continue!
Dominoes is well and truly going nowhere at the moment. I've got an idea but it's still vague. I haven't got it all planned out in my head yet and until I can figure out a vague outline it will remain on hold for the time being.
Until next time,
Much love,
MJReynolds.

Lack of Inspiration

So, I've not done much writing lately. It's not that I don't want to write, it's more the fact that I don't know what to write about.
Sequel to Playing Cards and Chess Pieces, Dominoes isn't going very well at all. Actually, the only bit of writing I've done for it is the title page and an unfinalised, draft preface. It's quite bad, actually, considering I love the characters I've created and their journey throughout the first two books. It saddens me that a solid plot isn't thickening as easily as the first two. Saying that, Chess Pieces took me two years to complete... I hope it doesn't take me that long to complete Dominoes, or longer!
I've done a couple chapters for my collabs on Protagonize.com but they're not coming through very thick as new chapters from fellow collab authors aren't posting regularly, for particular reasons. I can't complain though; good writing takes time and shouldn't be rushed :)
The next two weeks are going to be hectic for me as the build up to move in day at Uni nears and my excited and nerves take hold of me completely. I'm mostly sorted and just need a few last minute items and home comforts :)
Until next time,
Much love,
MJReynolds.

Connection Problems

So, I'm finally home from my short break and came home to a house without an Internet connection. For me, that was the equivalent to the end of the World, especially when it came to the predicament that I would be unable to post any new chapters.
Thankfully, the problem has been fixed and access to the Internet via a computer is now possible and I don't have to rely on the Internet source from my mobile phone anymore as my only window into the virtual World.
I've been working on my latest chapters for RFTEV and Doctor Who: Jigsaw which I will be posting on Protagonize.com very shortly.
In other news, I collected my A Level Results last Thursday (18th August) and earned enough UCAS points to secure me a place at University this September, which I'm very thrilled and excited about.
Until next time, comment, rate, subscribe and be sure to keep up-to-date with my work on www.Protagonize.com (MichaelaJakeReynolds).
Much love,
MJReynolds.

Greetings from the South West

I am away on a short break before I go to Uni next month and thought I'd send all you lovely people a big hello and a virtual stick of rock :)
The weather's okay and we're not far from the sea front so all is merry and bright over here.
For those who live in areas of the UK where the riots are taking place on a more serious scale, I wish you all the safety in the World and hope that you, and those close to you, are hurt, injured or killed unnecessarily. For those of you who are actually taking part in the riots, I hope you can sleep well at night knowing that you're causing all the problems and destruction that you are: you sicken me.
On a brighter note, don't forget that my work is always available to read, completely free, at Protagonize.com. The following link will take you directly to my Author Profile where links to each of my works can be found: http://www.protagonize.com/author/MichaelaJakeReynolds
Happy reading!
Much love,
MJReynolds.

I'm really excited to stay that I've been nominated as this week's Featured Author on Protagonize.com :) This is a huge deal for me, as it should hopefully spur up some new fans and ratings for my stories and pages.

Romance for the Emotionally Vacant

A brand new collaboration story is now available to read on Protagonize.com, featuring the literary works of both myself and jamm.
Synopsis
When you're hired by somebody to do a job properly, it's best not to fall in love with them, else risk the mess and heartache that comes as an added bonus. Love is for schmucks and the hopeless romantics, not for a night club owner and a prostitute.
This story has very mature themes.
Categorised under Just for fun, Mature Themes and Romance.
A direct link to the opening chapter - written by yours truly - can be found by clicking the title of this blog post (above).
Much love,
MJReynolds.

Doctor Who: Jigsaw

New Collaboration

As of today, a new Doctor Who collaboration has launched on Protagonize.com. Myself, jamm, VictoriaGlass, ImprintedHeart and JSimmons have all joined together to bring you a whole new, exciting rendition of our perfect Doctor Who episode.
Following the eleventh Doctor (portrayed by the brilliant Matt Smith) the story will consist of many new companions, never before seen on a Doctor Who episode, as well as enemies and aliens that will make their debut in this one-of-a-kind collaboration.
Love Doctor Who? Then Doctor Who: Jigsaw is definitely something you should keep your eyes on. For a direct link to the first chapter, written by the ever so talented jamm, click the main title for this blog post (above) and enter our 'Who-niverse' :)
Much love,
MJReynolds.

Protagonize.com

This week has been very good for me on Protagonize.com and it all started with submitting my two completed stories - Playing Cards and Chess Pieces - to their Shameless Self Promotion and Completed Works group pages. Both have been buzzing this week and have made the top of this weeks recommendation list, which I am ecstatic about! A screen shot of yesterday's homepage, from the site, (left) shows the majority of the notifications I received about my work - and personal messages from other members - and also the recommendations list for this week; this screenshot was taken at around 5PM and grew quite a bit over the rest of the day :)
As well as all the recommendations, I've been gaining quite a few fans who I'm now currently discussing possible collaborations on the site. I've always wanted to be a part of a huge collaboration project on Protagonize.com and I'm really happy that I'm now being given the opportunity.
Discussion for this collaboration are well under wraps and are quite a stretch from my regular writing. For those of you who don't know, I'm quite a big Doctor Who fan and the basis of this collaboration will be a fan fiction story following the eleventh Doctor - who's played, brilliantly, by Matt Smith in the current series - with brand, spanking new companions, enemies, monsters and adventures. More news on this collaboration will be coming soon!
Until next time, stayed tuned and watch this space.
Much love,
MJReynolds.

I'll start by saying Hello...

This is the official blog of Michaela-Jake Reynolds.
Firstly, I'd like to say Hello and Welcome. I can't guarantee that I'll post blogs regularly, if at all, but I will try my hardest not to be anti-social and neglect posting updates about my work, what I've been up to or anything I feel appropriate to blog about.
You may have come across my blog from the website Protagonize.com, where I'm most known for being the author of Playing Cards and Chess Pieces. If not, and you've simply stumbled across my blog by chance, I will let you know now: I am an amateur, unsigned writer and I have written two novellas (as they're too short to be considered novels) about a girl who falls pregnant at fifteen-years-old and chooses to keep her pregnancy secret from everyone she knows and loves; including the father. For more details about my stories, click on the page links (above) or head on over to www.protagonize.com where both can be found on my author profile (MichaelaJakeReynolds) or through the search bar on the Homepage, along with other literary creations from thousands of talented writers from across the Globe.
In this blog, you can expect to find posts that may or may not be interesting or necessary along with sneak peeks at my current work and the latest chapters to new stories. I might also post the latest songs and books that I can't get enough of, along with quotes that I might find interesting or inspiring to me.
I hope that I have interested you enough in this post to make you come back and read more.
Much love,
MJReynolds.
